How Much Does It Cost to Rent a Car in Montenegro?
Real daily rates from our price lists for every car class, season and airport, what is included, which extras cost more, and how to keep the total low.

Renting a small car in Montenegro costs from €30 per day off-season with pick-up at Podgorica Airport, and from €40 in season. A compact car starts from €35. Coastal and foreign airports cost more in summer. With us there is no deposit, and every extra is shown before you confirm.
What decides the price
Three things set the daily rate: the season, the car class and the pick-up location. Rental length and extras come on top.
- Season: our price lists use a fixed calendar. Off-season is 1 October to 19 December and 10 January to 15 April. Season is 16 April to 30 September and 20 December to 9 January.
- Car class: from small city cars up to premium SUVs and a 9-seat van.
- Location: Podgorica Airport is the cheapest in summer; Tivat, Tirana and Dubrovnik cost more in season. If you pick up and return at different locations, the higher rate applies.
Daily rates at Podgorica Airport
Rates per day from our current price lists, pick-up and return at Podgorica Airport (TGD):
| Class | Off-season | Season |
|---|---|---|
| Small (Polo, 208, Ibiza, Fabia…) | €30 | €40 |
| Compact (Clio, Octavia, Golf, Leon…) | €35 | €35 – €70 |
| Family / 7 seats (Touran, C4 Spacetourer) | €40 | €50 – €70 |
| SUV | €40 | €45 – €60 |
| Premium (A6, Cayenne, Tiguan, Velar) | €60 | €80 – €100 |
| 9-seat van (Ford Transit) | €70 | €120 |
Rates at Tivat, Tirana and Dubrovnik airports
Delivery to every airport is free; only the daily rate differs. In season the coastal and foreign airports are dearer than Podgorica, while off-season Tivat matches Podgorica.
| Class, per day | Tivat season | Tirana season | Dubrovnik season |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small | €50 | €50 | €50 |
| Compact | from €60 | from €60 | from €60 |
| Family / 7 seats | €80 | €80 | €80 |
| Premium | from €100 | from €100 | from €100 |
If your flight lands in Tivat or Dubrovnik but you stay near Bar or Podgorica, compare: the drive from Podgorica Airport is often worth the lower summer rate.
